    Skins Improve to 4-0 in WBL

    Fort Shawnee, OH-The Redskin Wrestling Team was back in action Tuesday night for a WBL Super-Tri match at Shawnee's Lappin Gymnasium.  Coach Rostorfer's matmen improved to 4-0 in the WBL and 8-1 overall with a pair of wins.

     

    In the night's opening contest, Wapak defeated Shawnee 66-12 on the coattails of pins by Brad Beemer, Trevor Plaugher, Cordell Neuman, Landon Hall, Keaton Elling, and Luke Beach. In the nightcap, Wapak won over a young Van Wert squad by a final of 56-15. Recording pins were Brad Beemer, Cordell Neuman, Landon Hall, Brenan Kneuve, Caleb Pyles, Keaton Elling, and Luke Beach.

     

    Other matches wrestled at Shawnee saw Defiance pick up a pair of victories knocking off the home Indians 53-12 and the Van Wert Cougars 52-19.

     

    The Varsity is back in action Saturday as they travel to Kettering for the Fairmont Firebird Invitational.

     

    Elsewhere in the WBL, at Bath HS, Saint Marys defeated Bath 42-40. Bath defeated Ottawa-Glandorf 46-30. Ottawa-Glandorf knocked off Celina 48-18 and Celina defeated Saint Marys 48-34.
